Beliefs

Our Mission

The purpose of Elevation United Methodist Church is to draw persons into Christ through our ministries which strengthen the faith of our members through a community of service, love, compassion and outreach.

With God's guidance, Elevation United Methodist Church will reflect the spirit of welcome to the community by encouraging individual spiritual growth through Christ.

Our Beliefs

As a United Methodist Congregation, we share beliefs with other Christian groups, including faith in God:  the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

We are similar to other Protestant denominations, affirming our beliefs through the sacred symbols of baptism and communion.

Through baptism, we accept God's gifts and grace through Jesus.  United Methodists believe in baptism by immersion, pouring, and sprinkling water on the head of the person being baptized.  Sprinkling is the most common method used.

Everyone is invited to share in communion, whether they are members of the Church or not, kids or adults.
