Where is the Church?

Elevation UMC is located at 5101 Elevation Road, Benson, NC.  It is about half way between Highway 50 and Federal Road.  Elevation Road crosses Hwy. 50 at Johnny Bonner's Grocery (about 6 miles north of Benson) and crosses Federal Road at the Elevation Fire Dept.

What makes Elevation unique?

Elevation is a warm, friendly congregation in a rural setting.

What will the service be like?

The service is a traditional service following United Methodist liturgy.  Singing is from the United Methodist Hymnal.  Communion is offered every other month (even months).

Do I have to be a member of Elevation to take communion?

Everyone is welcome at the communion table, whether members of Elevation or not, kids and adults.

What should I wear to Elevation UMC?

Whatever makes you comfortable.  You will see a few men in suits and ties and a lot of men in casual sport shirts.  Women wear either dresses or slacks.  Adults don't normally wear shorts.  

How long is the service?

The service normally lasts an hour (from 9:30 am to 10:30 am).

Where do my children go during the service?

Children are invited and welcomed to stay in the Worship Service.  However, there is a nursery for the smallest children (birth to 2 years) and a Children's Church for ages 3-5.

Older youth and teens are encouraged to participate in the Worship Service.  There is also children and youth activities on Sunday night at 5:30 pm (except during the summer months).

When do I need to arrive?

Plan to arrive 5-10 minutes prior to the start of the service.
